Students of Grades XI and XII of Uttam School for Girls had the enriching opportunity to visit Parliament House, New Delhi, on 2nd October 2026, under the “Know Your Leader” programme organised by PRIDE, Lok Sabha Secretariat, commemorating the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri.
The visit offered students a valuable insight into India’s parliamentary traditions and democratic heritage. They visited the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Chambers and the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan, where young participants from across India delivered insightful speeches on the lives and ideals of the two national leaders.
The students also explored the Art Gallery within the Parliament complex and witnessed the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh and Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla.
The experience extended learning beyond the classroom, inspiring students to appreciate India’s democratic values and the responsibilities of informed and engaged citizens.
