Uttam School for Girls

Science & Technology

The school, through its teaching pedagogy, aims to instill in its students the scientific temperament.
The classroom learning is initiated through digital methodologies. Smart classes organized with the help of TATA CLASS EDGE and XSEED MAX have proven to be extremely effective ways of enhancing the understanding of concepts. Various classrooms activities, inter-class, inter-house competitions and participation in CBSE Science Exhibition etc. are undertaken to help them administer real life situations with a scientific approach.
Students have access to advanced equipment and tools in science and technology.
Amidst the digital learning environment, the Atal Tinkering Lab serves as the hub of exploration through application for the students. They undertake projects that involve the application of their learning in an innovative way. Uttam School is taking forward this initiative by NITI Aayog. A number of workshops and brainstorming sessions are held to help students explore their aptitude in technology.
After organising a pre-tinkering session, we have selected a team of 70 committed students from grades VI–XI who will work on the various projects based on the problems the country is facing today.
The Lab is provided with educational and “do it yourself” kits and equipment such as electronics, robotics, open source microcontroller boards, sensors and 3D printers. We aim to fulfill our vision of creating innovators who will help in transforming technology and thus leading to the creation of a new India.
